Very mild ingrown toenails?

I have been wearing bad school shoes for a couple of weeks and recently I realised i have started developing very mild ingrown toenails. I purchased larger, better shoes and applied disinfectant to the region, should the problem go away?Very mild ingrown toenails?
It depends on how mild they are? Did the nail actually enter though the skin?

If the nail didn't enter the skin and there are no signs of infection - red, hot and swollen etc.. then the return to larger shoes especially about the toes area should relieve the problem and there shouldn't be any need for disinfectant as there are no skin breaks.

If the nail did enter the side then the problem is not going to resolve if there is still a piece of nail in the skin. Disinfectant would help prevent infection but it is not going to close up and heal if there is still nail there. If that is the case a podiatrist or your Doctor would be able to remove the piece of nail growing in.

Hope this helps.
